Reporting to the General Manager, the Purchasing Manager will have a large financial impact on the business by controlling material costs while ensuring maximum value, quality and efficiency in the sourcing. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation procurement strategies and policies in conjunction with input from key personnel from Operations, QA, Production Planning, Sales and Finance and in line with the company’s strategic plans and business commitments.


Job Position: Purchasing Manager.

Work Schedule: 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week. 

Wages:  Salary rate: $59/hr.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.

Location:  245 West Beaver Creek Rd, Unit 6, Richmond Hill, ON L4B1L1.

Education: Bachelor Degree (Business related)

Experience: 10+ years of progressive purchasing experience; 5+ years of experience leading people.


Specific Requirements:

• Lead a team of Purchasing Agents to ensure a sustainable supply chain for production.

• Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.

• Manage specialized equipment and materials purchases, inventory, replenishment planning, and purchase order management.

• Review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions.

• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors on price, contract terms, conditions, and supplier consignment.

• Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods.

• Review cost analyses from purchasing team with management to forecast and propose ordering plans.

• Lead supplier negotiations regarding post-production (service) support.

• Prepare regular reports required by Management.

• Oversee the analysis of data and information of the retail and related service industries.

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.

• Provide training, coaching and mentorship to team members. Drive a culture of creativity, innovation and continuous learning.
